Your journey begins at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, a deeply moving and educational site where you'll learn about the tragic events of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. After breakfast mid-morning we will drive to Akagera National Park. Situated in the Eastern part of the country, Akagera national park is Rwanda sole savannah park.After checking in at our lodge, today we will enjoy a short game drive and a sunset boat ride.

Game drives offer an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, birds, and magnificent scenery especially that the park has more than 10 lakes itself. Akagera National Park, is home to over 500 bird species and a variety of mammals, including the Africa’s Big 5 (Lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and cape buffalo) and other animals to look out for include: Giraffes, Bushbucks, Hippos and so many more.
