Your journey begins at the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre, a deeply moving and educational site where you'll learn about the tragic events of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The memorial offers a powerful narrative of how the genocide was planned and executed, revealing the devastating effects of divisive politics and propaganda. The tour continues through the historical heart of Kigali—where the city first began—on the way to Mount Kigali, the highest point in the city. At the summit, you'll enjoy panoramic views of Kigali’s vibrant landscape, a Perfect moment for photos and reflection. As the day unfolds, you’ll explore local markets, ideal for purchasing souvenirs and handmade crafts. Depending on your interests, you’ll also have the option to visit art galleries, pottery studios, or eco parks, each offering a unique glimpse into Rwanda’s rich cultural and creative life.

After breakfast mid-morning we will drive to Akagera National Park. Situated in the Eastern part of the country, Akagera national park is Rwanda sole savannah park.After checking in at our lodge, today we will enjoy a short game drive and a sunset boat ride.

Game drives offer an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, birds, and magnificent scenery especially that the park has more than 10 lakes itself. Akagera National Park, is home to over 500 bird species and a variety of mammals, including the Africa’s Big 5 (Lions, leopards, rhinoceroses, elephants, and cape buffalo) and other animals to look out for include: Giraffes, Bushbucks, Hippos and so many more.

Today after taking breakfast while enjoying the breathtaking view of Akagera game lodge, we will drive 5 hours leaving behind the beautiful plain of the East heading to the mountainous Northern part of Rwanda, famously known for the five volcanoes and home to mountain Gorilla and Golden monkeys. Upon arrival to Musanze we will check-in then have a relaxing and evening afternoon at the hotel.

Wakeup to an early breakfast and report to the park headquarters for briefing and allocation of Gorilla trekking groups. Later, you will head into the cold and misty forested slopes of Virunga national park for your Gorilla trek. The trek can be anywhere between 2 to 4 hours depending on the movement of the Gorillas and upon finding them, you will be allowed 1 hour to see and take photos after which you exit the forest. Drive back to the hotel.

After enjoying your breakfast, we will then drive 1.5 hours’ through heading to Gisenyi, a vibrant town by Lake Kivu upon arrival, you will check-in to the hotel and relax

This is your day to simply unwind, relax, soak it all in at your hotel, take a boat trip and explore the lake, visit the community around

After Delicious Breakfast check out from hotel and Transfer back to the airport.
